How does the commission process work? 

It starts with you sending me photographs of your pet by email, FB or post and us agreeing together the best one to use and how you would like the portrait to look - size, background & any changes from the actual photo. I book you in the diary and then send you a progress pic when I am almost complete. This is to get your feedback and any changes you want me to make. It is very much a collaborative process. 

How long will my commission take?

Commissions typically take 3 months from the initial enquiry. I can accomodate more urgent requests where possible. At Christmas the diary tends to be busier and bookings start as early as August & September.

How do I pay? Is a deposit required? 

Payment can be made by bank transfer, Paypal or cash. A 10% deposit secures your place in the diary. Full payment is required once you are 100% satisfied.

What if I only have old original or poor quality photos? 

I draw a lot of portraits of pets that are sadly no longer with us. Often people have only a few old photos of relatively poor quality. I always say to send them on and we can discuss what can be done. 

Where can commissions be posted to? 

Anywhere is this world the postie delivers!

If I am going to take photos for my pet's portrait, what advice would you give?

Choose a day with good light

Get down to the level of your pet, unless you want a portrait of your pet looking up 

Make sure your photo is in focus

Use the highest resolution possible
